I farmed the Velociprey missions until I had a full set of gear, I lamented my lack of access to the cool dual blades, and I created tons of potions and barrel bombs and other useables, and had many features locked until my progression moved forward. I’ll say this much, I loved it and enjoyed playing it, but I could NOT get past the first big monster. “I’ll pick up the first one and get the second one later, I don’t want to mess up the story!” I will never forget my decision, because it’s the funniest thing I have ever done in retrospect.

I saw Monster Hunter Portable, and Monster Hunter Portable 2, ports of the original MH games. Still is, I go back to it pretty regularly!īut early on in getting my PSP, I decided to pick up a game I saw at an underground game store while visiting my dad in Toronto.
I played Crisis Core, I played Patapon, I played Half-Minute Hero, it was the best. If you haven’t seen it, it’s basically the coolest and most emotional moment a silent protagonist can get!Ī long time ago, I freaking loved my PSP. Plus, I hope the story holds up too! One of the many things I fell in love with was God Eater’s story, and the final part with the Hannibal in Burst’s last part is one of my favorite story cutscenes of all time.
I’m looking forward to seeing these guys come back in 3, just as much as I’m looking forward to not being able to defeat an Ameterasu (Oroboros Variant) in a small arena by myself! Boy, that was rough, but it WAS a postgame mission, they gotta be tough! On aragami, I thought the Chi-You with his big ‘ol breakable arms was a fun type to fight, and the Gboro-Gboro was so freaking goofy, having one of the best songs to fight it with! Seriously, if you listen to the soundtrack version with the cut opening intact, you will die laughing when it gets to the part you hear in game. Since you’ve played this extensively already, do you have any favorite weapon types to fight with, or any Aragami you loved (or hated!) fighting?īack in burst, I rocked Longsword and Sniper, and loved to get Lvl 3 Burst so I could just Blast forever! Trying the demo, some of the newer weapons made past the swords of the first game are pretty neat, I’d love to try them all!
